I was kicking around the apartment, feeling bored and restless, tired of myself and my own writing, and wanting to read something that seemed handmade and intimate. I thought about how often I come across creative writing that cries out to be framed somehow. And about how writing often gains from being juxtaposed with other writing. So I decided to build this site. I hope you enjoy reading the pieces here as much as I did.

Fun fact: Peter Parasol was the pen name of Wallace Stevens. (He also wrote a poem with that as a title, about perfectionism and the wish for beauty, among other things.)
